(AP Photofax) Winter's hold begins to ease Winter is finally beginning to let go an inch at a time, and gradually moderating temperatures may bring us an April shower by Tuesday. There's a 20 percent chance of rain here tonight and a 50 percent chance Tuesday, and the weatherman says we might even have a thunderstorm. That's a far cry from last week's record-shattering cold, but temperatures still haven't reached the normal range. Sunday's high was 46 and this morning's low 22, and both figures are still below the normal range of 53 to 33. Tonight's low should stay above 30 and the high Tuesday will be in the low 40s.

Temperatures are expected to stay pretty much in the same range through Friday, with cloudy skies and the possibility of rain expected to hang around until Friday, In normally warm Arizona, meanwhile, Sunday saw a threeinch snowfall accompanied by 70 m.p.h. winds. Severe thunderstorms and hail, battered southwest Texas, and one tornado sighting was reported near Uvalde. Tex. The nation's low this morning was 3 above at Cut Bank, Mont.
