About The RoleThe Manager, VI NYC acts as the market-facing leader of the VI team. This includes representing VI to new and existing clients in person and virtually. This role acts as the liaison for any report/client issues and collaborates directly with the Director, Operations to ensure the department is continually optimized and aligned with company-wide goals. This position is required to work onsite in our NYC office.What You'll Do

• Interfaces with Sales to ensure all VI products are communicated properly to clients.
• Assists Sales by providing strategic insights into client targets.
• Creates sample reports for the Sales department for potential new clients.
• Oversees all client inquiries received by Sales.
• Delivers reports to clients as needed.
• Supports product and QC leads when necessary.
• Manages overall strategy and operations for VI products and team, alongside the Director, Operations. This includes working with the product and QC leads to implementing new policies/procedures, ensuring client expectations of quality and due date are met and working with others in the organization to streamline products brought to market.
• Assigns and distributes work to VI team as needed.
• Manages relationships with vendors.
• Collaborates with department leadership to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual targets are met.
• Implements new policies/procedures, SOPs as needed for scalability of the team.
• Manages information service providers and contract relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Experience in client engagement, business development, or similar client-facing role.
• 3-5 years investigative experience in open-source investigations in one or more of the following fields: pre-investment due diligence, third-party compliance, KYC, risk advisory, etc.
• 1-2 years’ experience managing teams in a collaborative setting.
• 1-2 years’ experience conducting investigations or managing projects with a human intelligence or other qualitative reporting component, including remotely managing contractors/resources in the field.
• Strong planning, organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively assess data, present it and respond to questions from various stakeholders including the Executive Leadership Team.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Proficiency in the following applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Suite, Slack
