I keep forgetting to leave a review of this one, even though I've seen it quite a few times now. Overall I really enjoy it!

There are admittedly some places where the three segments don't really blend as well (the main one that comes to mind is how they're all filmed - it's a bit jarring to go from In the Mouth of Madness to the Mist's occasionally handheld camera work. However, you get used to it as the film goes on.

The use of the Beach Boys' music is honestly the most inspired aspect of this. It helps make the whole thing feel more cohesive, and the songs themselves are well-picked and well-placed, whether it's used for the sake of irony ("Don't Worry Baby"), dark comedy ("Sloop John B") or even in places where the song is in line with the tone ("'Til I Die" and "God Only Knows").

Overall, I highly recommend this. It's an odd concept executed exceptionally well.

This was a fun one! I think it works at a core level, but I might have liked to see In The Mouth of Madness used more as a framing device since it is so structurally different - Sutter Cane unleashing the horrors that remain relatively off-screen in Carpenter's version with Deep Rising and The Mist then providing the "world descending into chaos" for the audience, which the edit approaches during the tremendous "God Only Knows" sequence. Such a restructuring, however, might have ended up repacing things a bit much and cut too much of the narratives of the latter two instead of letting them all play out together. I love The Beach Boys, and I think it was smart to use audio as a sort of narrative glue bridging the edits... while I enjoy the tonal dissonance, I do wonder if there was a greater reason for it (outside of... y'know, Lovecraft... water... tentacles... beaches). Great work!

Its definitely experiemental. Really hard to rate this as achievement here is probably to the max of the possible. In the end though the contrasts are glaring at times with vastly different screenplays. And this does slant viewer experience towards the downside. Slightly.

One glitch was seen with a red blur when woman is holding glasses in office.... intentional effect?

Lets call this narrative score a LUCKY7!! All's well that ends well & this show wraps up quite enjoyably!!

Simply fantastic. Great cocept and one of the best compilation edits I've seen. And I very much liked the use of the Beach Boys music. It gave lovecraft actually a weired tone of it's own and bound the 3 movies together somehow.

What a fabulous concept and great new way to intertwine a common theme. The use of audio was superb, transitions were fluid, and the focus always maintained the direction the maker was going for. The only qualm I saw was In The Mouth of Madness needed more focus to even out the ordeal. There was a cut during the ITMOM segments that was abrupt and felt too rushed at one part. ITMOM needed more room to breathe and if another 5-10 minutes were added I'd think we'd see an even tighter film. Great job nonetheless, absolutely fun to watch. The use of the Beach Boys soundtrack made this all the more interesting and it benefited using it for transitions.
