The eNASCAR College iRacing Series will return for the 2024–2025 season, according to a joint announcement from NASCAR, iRacing, and Playfly Sports. The best collegiate oval racers on iRacing will once again compete in the championship, driving NASCAR Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series cars across nine events in an attempt to split a $60,000 scholarship prize fund. The top two competitors at the Homestead-Miami Speedway season finale will, for the first time, be assured a spot in a series leading up to the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

Countdown to the New Season Excitement
iRacing president Tony Gardner stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to bring the eNASCAR College iRacing Series back for another season.” Many of the best drivers in the College Series are poised for success in our other series, and these races are among the most competitive and thrilling on iRacing. We’re particularly happy to provide guaranteed spots on the eNASCAR Road to Pro ladder to the winners and runners-up of this year’s College Series.
Ray Smith, Director of Gaming & Esports at NASCAR, expressed similar enthusiasm. “We are excited to continue our partnership with iRacing and Playfly Sports for the 2024-25 eNASCAR College iRacing Series.
With a record number of colleges and universities competing last season, this series highlights the exceptional talent in collegiate racing and offers a unique platform for young motorsport enthusiasts. We look forward to seeing these students compete for scholarships and embrace the new opportunities this season brings.”
Racing for the Benefit of Schools
Playfly’s vice president of operations, Curtis Winger, highlighted the series’ educational value. With the use of cars and courses that are most recognized for their use on the actual racing circuit, students are able to compete for their schools in official NASCAR events that are professionally televised to a number of streaming platforms. We’re excited to share the 2024–2025 season with you and are looking forward to things starting later this year.
In order to be eligible for the first eight events of the season, iRacers will have to complete a series of iRacing Time Attacks. They will have ten days to record their fastest times for each car-track combination. The top 40 qualified drivers will be asked to participate in the A-Main, where they will face off for season-long points and financial scholarships.
The B-Main and later races will be for those who didn’t make the cut. The biggest portion of the scholarship fund, which includes $10,000 for the race winner, will be up for grabs in the finale, which will see the top 25 point scorers from each of the eight A-Mains qualify to compete.
Highlights from the Previous Season
Steven Wilson of Iowa, the reigning eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series winner, emerged victorious last month in the conclusion of the previous eNASCAR College iRacing Series season. Wilson led 71 of the race’s 90 laps from the pole and went on to defeat fellow former eNASCAR Championship 4 drivers Logan Clampitt (Cal State Fullerton) and Garrett Lowe (UNC-Charlotte).
