What is the dress code for Camp Modin? ›

Is There A Dress Code? Modin is not a uniform camp. However, we do require campers to have a limited number of Modin clothing items, which must be worn when out of camp. They include 5 t-shirts, 2 hoodies/sweatshirts and 2 pairs of shorts.

Samara and her husband Pascal became the full-time owners and executive directors of Camp Modin in 2024. Pascal joined the Modin family when he married Samara in 2020.

Most of our campers start when they are 8 or 9 years old, but we've also seen some mature 6- and 7-year-olds who are eager to bunk with new friends, as well as some 11- or 12-year-olds who just aren't ready yet.

If your child is 5 or under, that's too young for overnight camp alone. Go to a family camp together, or try an American Camp Association accredited day camp program in your area, which is a great way to get the feel for what camp is all about!

Comfortable Dancewear: Pack plenty of leotards, tights, and dance shorts. Considering the Florida heat, breathable and moisture-wicking materials are your best bet.

Campers should always dress appropriately since they are working in a professional atmosphere with professional actors and directors. We recommend cotton t-shirts, workout pants, capris, or shorts for daily wear. Jeans and high cut shorts are not appropriate for warm-ups, rehearsals, and workshops.
