OVERVIEW: As a Network Engineer, you'll oversee our global network infrastructure, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and sustaining advanced networking solutions. Your responsibilities extend to ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and maximizing performance to meet our business goals. Staying updated on emerging software and technologies is crucial for suggesting improvements to our technological framework. Additionally, you'll regularly provide mentorship and training to fellow team members.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager):

  • Function as a core subject matter expert for Checkpoint product suite (firewalls, networking, security products) and Meraki switches.
  • Install, configure, deploy, monitor, tune and troubleshoot all networking components.
  • Maintain security of our network
  • Back up and update network hardware configurations including routing tables, ACL’s, etc.
  • Perform system and network monitoring.
  • Document existing/new systems and procedures.
  • Fine tune network infrastructure and devices following service now change control procedures, performance analysis of network devices.
  • Develop and deploy robust networking solutions within the AWS cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of BGP
  • Windows Server
  • PowerShell
  • AWS and on prem Storage systems maintenance
  • HPE Servers
  • Project team member on large scale system/hardware upgrades
  • Responsible for selected IT improvement projects and participates in others.
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining ISO processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 plus years of Network/Enterprise level administration
  • A minimum of 5 years System/Enterprise level administration
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or a combination of relevant Microsoft certifications and job experience.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification or CCNA Certification
  • Checkpoint software technologies certification (CCSA or CCSE) will be a great asset for this position.
  • Extensive experience in Checkpoint (firewalls, networking, and product suite) will be a core asset.
  • Extensive experience in Meraki
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions using Cisco and CheckPoint equipment.
  • Experience with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Elastic Block Storage, Cloud Watch will be a plus.
  • Experience with BGP
  • Experience in DevOps methodologies in an agile environment will be a plus.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as a Code, IaaS will be a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex problems in a Cisco/CheckPoint network environment.
  • Proficient in TCP/IP networking protocol
  • Strong background in internetworking/LAN/MAN/WAN data communications
  • Strong background with firewalls, routers, switches, access points and VPN solutions
  • Experience with SolarWinds solutions.
  • Experience with Enterprise Storage Systems a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis. Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone. Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Regular and on-time attendance. Must be able to prioritized, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules. A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required. Hours may exceed 40 hours per week. Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
