Kidz Indoor Playground at Prestonwood Baptist Church

KIDZPlay is free but you must check in at our KIDZ Central desk. This special play area is for children 10 years and under. KIDZPlay is located at the Plano Campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church (6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano). Follow the signs in the parking areas to “Main Entrance.”

KIDZPlay is located immediately to the right of the main Atrium doors. There are restrooms and water fountains just outside the doors. At the opposite end of the Atrium, down the steps and to the left, you’ll find Main Street Café, with salad bar, food stations, coffee station, snacks and drinks. Kids need shoes on and are not allowed inside with Food, gum or Drinks.

Hours: Monday – Friday 10 am – 4 pm. , closed Saturdays.

They have an indoor museum, little outdoor zoo, settlers village, animatronic dinosaurs, and walking trails. You can walk the long trail, takes about 45 mins to an hour. You walk over suspended walkways over wetlands. We’ve seen deer several times, turtles, and beautiful birds.

Try an Escape Room. There are several in the area now, and some have rooms especially designed for Kids! Best for ages 10+ check with the individual Escape Rooms in the area. We love Breakout Games at 2301 North Central Expy: Ste 275 & 285 Plano.

Roleplay and Imagination

Play Street Museum (Multiple area locations)

Play Street is a great Indoor role play destination for smaller kids up to age 8. Locations in Dallas, Plano, McKinney and Allen are themed uniquely. They’ve got free Wi-Fi, and although there is no food allowed, feel free to bring drinks for you and the kids. You’ll need to leave your strollers behind.

Open Play Monday-Friday, exact hours vary by location. Special events and Open Play by Reservation on weekends. Do check before you leave home to ensure they are open for you to visit.

Small Pockets

(Dallas) You can shop and then head downstairs to their curated Tea Room. Aside from being an adorable birthday tea party spot, they host a free Story Time on Fridays and Open Play while you shop. Open Play is available anytime the room is not booked for an event.Story Time is Friday 10:30-11am. Story Time, Open Play, and Playdate reservations are FREE. You can reserve time for a small group if you contact them directly.

EQ Kids Club (Frisco)

This indoor safari play village is very purposeful about learning through play and engaging all the senses. Like Play Street, they keep things nice and organized and clean, just the way we like it. Your kids will be obsessed with the light show sandbox. Trying to find something different and skewed to babies, toddlers all the way to age 8 isn’t easy as most places are bounce-house based. The owner, Marcia Morales is a children’s book author who curated the concept for EQ Kids Club herself. This is not a franchise & offers a roam-free, safe & warm environment for kids to explore, express themselves and for parents to see their natural curiosities.

With a safari theme, the venue offers free tea for parents & comfortable chill-out area. Coffee frothed by Marcia or her husband and a snack & drink for each child is included. Open Play is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Special Summer Sundays Open Play from 10am-3pm (subject to change, call to confirm).
